Help Rio’s Ramblers help Rio! ❤️

Hi All!

Emma and I decided to get a group of people together walk a marathon distance of 27 miles from Blackpool Tower to The Bonny Inn, at Wilpshire in support of little Rio and his wonderful family.

In April, 3 year old Rio’s parents were faced with then unbearable news that Rio had been diagnosed out of the blue with a rare cancer - Wilms Tumour - affecting both his kidney and his lungs. The little warrior has undergone surgeries and several rounds of chemotherapy which have now become increasingly intensive.

His courageous Mummy and Daddy have had to give up work to care for their tiny hero and his little brother, Rudy. Their only constants at the moment are their love for each other and their beautiful home. They’re living for the rare moments they all get to spend together as a family there - away from the hospital and treatments.

Our fundraising is not only to support the family keep their home and sanctuary, but, to pay for further treatment options for Rio. Rio’s parents recently heard the news no one should ever hear from their consultant… That they should embrace the fundraising, as any further treatment for Rio - would likely be beyond what is available within the UK.

We cannot stress what a beautiful bunch of humans this family really are - inside and out! PLEASE help us to help them by raising as much money as we can via this walking this marathon against Wilms on Saturday 13th August.

We hope to put our feet up and celebrate with a big BBQ/drinks at The Bonny Inn, Wilpshire at the end of the walk… so please feel free to come and join us where the wonderful management have generously offered to donate to little Rio too!
