Save lives and dreams, Help us evacuate from Gaza

Dear everyone,

I am Mahmoud Abusamaan, and I'm urgently asking that you consider donating to support me and my sister's evacuation from Gaza. Before the war suspended our academic year, I was a sophomore at the Faculty of Engineering. I had hope to pursue a degree in computer science and a career as a web developer. To fulfill this dream, I was participating, and then volunteering as an assistant trainer, in the Youth Code Gaza program.

My sister, Besan, shared similar aspirations. She was studying English literature with dreams of becoming a professional translator and content writer. She recently became engaged and planned to follow her fiancé, who had traveled to Turkey for work, after her graduation this year. Unfortunately, our dreams have been shattered by the devastating circumstances in Gaza.

Recently, my family and I were forced to evacuate to the south of Gaza, seeking refuge from the violence that has ravaged our city. Despite our efforts to rebuild our lives, we find ourselves living in dire conditions with limited access to basic necessities like food, water, and medicine. We are isolated from the world, living in a tent without electricity or internet, uncertain of the fate of our loved ones and our own survival.

To escape this turmoil, we have attempted to travel, but the costs are prohibitive. We need $5,000 per person just to cross the Rafah border into Egypt, not including transportation or living expenses. Our goal is to raise $13,000, which includes funds for the border crossing 10,000$, GoFundMe transaction fees 1,000$, and temporary living costs 2,000$.

We have already managed to get 1,600$ from another campaign so our target is 11,500$.
