Save Lives : Help Nigerian Women Fight Obstetric
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nora and I'm fundraising for AAFA World to sponsor a cause that demands our immediate attention - the heartbreaking reality of obstetric fistula, a silent crisis that plagues countless Nigerian and African women.
Annually, between 50,000 and 100,000 women in Nigeria endure the pain and despair of obstetric fistula, making up a staggering 40% of global cases. This condition stems from prolonged, obstructed labor without access to life-saving medical interventions, resulting in excruciating suffering, the loss of newborns, and profound physical damage that leads to uncontrollable urinary and fecal incontinence.
The consequences go far beyond the physical realm. These women are often abandoned by their spouses, shunned by their communities, and relegated to lives of sorrow and isolation. Without treatment, they face dire health risks, including infections and kidney failure, sometimes resulting in premature death. In Nigeria alone, over 400,000 untreated cases continue to devastate lives.
Imagine the agonizing choice these women confront - enduring days of agonizing labor, knowing the risk they face, only to survive and be cast out by society. Their suffering is an unbearable burden that no one should have to bear, and yet, it persists far too often.
Obstetric fistula is a condition that is both preventable and treatable, and that's where I humbly request your assistance. I'm here to raise funds to support these courageous women and provide them with the critical medical care they so urgently need.
I implore you to stand with us to ensure that no woman in Nigeria has to endure obstetric fistula in silence. Your generous donations will directly contribute to:
Covering the costs of surgical procedures to repair obstetric fistula.
Providing essential post-surgery care and rehabilitation.
Launching community awareness programs to dispel the stigma surrounding this condition.
Transparency is of utmost importance to us, and here's how your donation will be allocated:
Obstetric Fistula Surgeries: £400 per surgery.
Post-surgery Care: £250 per patient.
Community Awareness Programs: £10,000 annually.
All donations will be meticulously managed by Africa and Friends Affairs (AAFA) World, a reputable non-governmental organization deeply committed to transforming the lives of women, young girls, and youth across Nigeria and Africa. With a steadfast mission to combat poverty through holistic initiatives, including healthcare, education, and skill-building programs, our dedicated team is unwavering in its quest to make a real difference in the lives of these women.
We stand at a pivotal moment. Obstetric fistula is a tragedy we have the power to eradicate, but we can't do it without your support. Join us in the fight to offer these women a chance at a life free from pain, shame, and isolation.
Your generosity holds the potential to change their lives, and together, we can consign obstetric fistula to the history books.
Let's ignite hope and save lives - your contribution today can make all the difference!
