Save lives of Borena Farmers and Pastoralists

Hi,

My name is Israel S. Aga, and I am originally from Ethiopia but currently live in Norway.

My fellow Ethiopians and I were shocked by the news of Borena farmers plowing their drought-stricken land by yoking themselves as farm animals because their farm animals were all gone due to the prolonged drought, which was the worst in the past 40 years. Livestock deaths are reported in many woredas (districts) of the zone, especially in Taltale district. The drought also exacerbated the already scarce water availability in the area. Children are missing out on their education while rates of malnutrition in pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under the age of five are also increasing.

Therefore, it is very important to help this community and save lives as soon as possible.

The donated fund will be allocated to buy farm animals and machineries through local community organizations.
