Save Lola: Critical Surgery for Our French Bulldog
Donation protected

Lola needs our help! Lola is our 4-year-old French bulldog. Unfortunately, she is in need of immediate medical care. We awoke Sunday morning to find that Lola had what seemed to be a sore/sprained back left leg. We carried her outside like the queen she is to use the bathroom, and she was able to walk on it but was using it very lightly. We could tell she was uncomfortable. A few hours later, we went to take her outside again, and when we put her down to use the bathroom, she fell onto her side and was unable to get up or move her legs. We immediately rushed Lola to the emergency veterinary hospital located in Warwick. Examined by the veterinarian, we were told she was to be rushed immediately to Tufts Animal Hospital to see a neurologist and get an MRI as soon as possible or to euthanize our girl right then and there. Lola was rushed 1.5 hours away to Tufts Animal Hospital where she was urgently seen and admitted.
Lola requires an urgent MRI and immediate spinal surgery. The doctors believe this is 99% what's called IVDD, which will require surgery for treatment. Lola is currently paralyzed in all four limbs at this time. Until surgery is complete, Lola will remain in the hospital's care post-surgery for 3-5 days for recovery.
The medical bills discussed with the hospital last night were $9,000 to $12,000, which will include her MRI, surgery, and recovery!
If you or anyone can help in any way, it is greatly appreciated as no one expects this to happen to their fur baby!!
All medical bills and any payments will be provided in the updates on this post.
Please help us save our Lola girl
