Save Louisburgh's much-loved Town Hall!
Louisburgh, in the west of Ireland, is home to just 434 people at the last count. However, this much-loved village welcomes many more from the surrounding countryside, from seasonal summer visitors, and lots of friends and family.
On the main street of Louisburgh there is a beautiful parochial Town Hall built in 1943, and in much need of some tender loving care.
The Town Hall is home to hundreds of community events and occasions each year.
From school productions of Grease, delicious cake sales, rousing voices of Mayo Choral group, the less polished voices of toddler Christmas carols, the floorboards bouncing for the dancing schools, operettas, Foróige youth club and the annual cheer of the Christmas market – this is a vital community hub for cherished get-togethers and is the heart and home of Louisburgh’s community spirit.
Louisburgh Community Futures is looking to raise €35K for a new roof, modernised facilities and an electric and heating upgrade in 2023.
Help to give Louisburgh’s community a home by donating what you can today, and please consider sharing this with anyone who has visited, lives in or simply loves Louisburgh.
Thank you!
