Save McArdle's Pub!

911! McArdle's Pub needs our help! Jen built this bar from the ground up and now everything she's worked for is at risk.

Jen has been through a lot over the past few years; a pandemic, a complicated and costly divorce, sending two kids to college and a lot more - all as a single parent. Covid alone has claimed countless small businesses, especially restaurants, but where others would have thrown in the towel, Jen held it together and worked around the clock to keep McArdle's going.

She has always maintained the bar as a place of community and belonging. It's both a family-friendly restaurant and a fun place for late-night hangs. Many of us, myself included, have experienced major life milestones at the pub. Jen is always there to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on, but now the tables have turned and she needs our help.

Originally built in the late 1800's, the pub is an OLD building that requires a lot of upkeep. Those costs, combined with the financial burden of the pandemic are catching up to her. Our beloved bar is at risk of closing permanently. She is now under mandatory shutdown in an attempt to get things sorted - but that means there is no income coming in for repairs.

Right now it's a lose-lose situation. The bills keep piling up and she simply will not be able to cover these costs without income. The state is crushing any chance she had to get back on her feet. She already moved above the bar to reduce living costs, but each year, the laws and regulations have made it harder and harder to keep a small business going.

It's an uphill battle, but I know how much the community loves this bar and loves Jen & her family. Let's show our appreciation and support and help her get the funds needed to get through this difficult time so she can work on keeping McArdle's going for years to come!
