Help me get food and treatment and get my family out of Gaza

Hello, my name is Muhannad Afaneh, and I am reaching out to you from a

place of deep need. I’m 28 years old and work as a lawyer, but right now,

my role as a provider for my family is under grave threat.

I am blessed with a loving family of six: my wife and our four beautiful

children—Youssef, who is 6; Ahmed, who is 5; Dalia, who is 3; and our

youngest, Haneen, just one year old. We have been severely impacted by

the ongoing conflict, and my wife and I are both suffering from chest

injuries that require daily, costly treatment. Unfortunately, the expenses are

beyond our means.

My current situation is dire. Our only shelter is a flimsy tent that offers no

protection from the scorching heat or the biting cold. We have enough to

meet basic needs, but not without hardship. Each day, providing milk for

my children, which costs $15, is a constant struggle.

My pressing need is for medical surgery that I cannot afford, and this

burden is compounded by the escalating cost of essential treatments. I am

desperately seeking a way to secure a safer environment for my family,

away from the perils of the conflict. Our hope is to relocate to Egypt, where

we can access necessary medical care and provide a more stable life for

our children.

medical treatment, relocating to a safer place, and ensuring our family’s

basic needs are met.
