Hi, I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart to ask for help for my one-year-old Border Collie Meelo, who is currently fighting for his life. He’s been diagnosed with acute hepatic liver failure, and while he’s always been full of energy, love, and joy, right now, hes the opposite and he needs more help than I can afford.

I’ve dreamed of having a Border Collie for as long as I can remember, and this sweet boy has exceeded every expectation. He’s taught me so much about patience, love, and dedication. He’s the best sporting dog I could ever ask for — always eager to learn, happy to please, and always by my side. We’ve shared so many wonderful moments, from training sessions to trials and roadtrips he’s helped me grow into the person I am today. He’s not just a dog to me — he’s family.

Unfortunately, things have been tough lately. I’ve recently moved out of my parents' house, and on top of this heartbreaking situation, my service dog was recently diagnosed with cancer. I’m doing everything I can to care for both of them, but the medical costs are overwhelming, and I’m running out of money. The veterinary team has been so kind, and they’re offering treatment options, but they can only do what my funds allow. It is unlikely he will survive this but I refuse to let him go without all the fight I have left in me.

I’m asking for help because I cannot bear the thought of losing him. He’s brought so much love and light into my life, and I can’t imagine a world without him. Any donation, no matter how small, will help me continue to give him the treatment he needs and give us more time together.

we lost my boy at 11:30 pm last night after valiant efforts from both staff and myself. the money now raised in this go fund me will go towards transport for the necropsy and cremation. thank you guys. ♥️
