Save the iconic Melbourne Music Centre!

One of my favourite things about Ormond is “Melbourne Music Centre”.

Not only do they sell a great range of instruments (including vintage gems and world instruments) and accessories for very reasonable prices, they also repair guitars and give great advice.

Some music stores can be intimidating, especially if you’re new to music, a young woman or a minority – but that’s not the case, here!

Melbourne Music Centre are welcoming to everyone in the community, including the LGBTQIA+ community, the disabled community (even providing work experience for neurodivergent kids), women, students – everyone who enjoys music, regardless of their gender, orientation, race or religion.

They are an icon of Ormond and have been a huge part of our music scene for the past 33 years - and now, they NEED OUR HELP.

In recent years, break ins, thefts, storm damage, level crossing disruptions and covid lock downs have been tough on Melbourne Music Centre, but it’s not over till the lady sings.

We can't let Melbourne Music Centre disappear. Ormond and the surrounding areas have a great love of live music and the community will suffer if MMC doesn't get the help they need.
