A terrible loss

Minlewon and Mercy are two of the most generous and giving people I have ever known. 

Their marriage has been an example of kindness and strength and devotion that is a light for others around them. Together they have given back so much to their community in Liberia through building facilities to bring clean water to the villages and sending donations and other support. Mercy and Minlewon have a beautiful baby together, Minlewon, Jr. He is a sweet and busy 4 year old boy who loves his mom and dad. Minlewon and Minlewon Jr. have been the best of friends. 

 

Mercy and Minlewon share so much love. Mercy has been separated from her three children in Liberia for six years and has spent that time building a happy life here with Minlewon and trying to bring the older children to join them. There have been so many challenges, but with Minlewon at her side she has felt confident everything would work out. 

Minlewon died suddenly on Sunday and it has been a terrible loss for her and the baby. The cost of funeral expenses will be many thousands of dollars, and she and Minlewon Jr. will have to somehow manage to go forward without their loving husband and father.
