Save Millican Pictorial History Museum

Hi, my name is Richard E. Atkinson. I am past President of Cramerton Historical Society, chairman of CHS Museum, and a Cramerton Town Commissioner. Allen Millican is a friend and has been the primary source of historical photographs and research for the CHS Museum.
Allen is recognized as a local historian and has been restoring historical photos for more than 20 years. He has more than 21,000 photos in his collection at the Millican Pictorial History Museum in Belmont, NC. Most of his photos come from North and South Carolina towns near Charlotte, NC. When he started posting some of his collection on his website, "millicanpictoricalhistorymuseum.com," he began receiving old photos from all over the country to restore and add to the Museum.
Allen's Museum and residence is located at 35 Catawba St. and is one of the oldest houses in the historic district in Belmont, NC. The property has been sold for redevelopment, and Allen has no choice but to relocate. He is exploring several options; Belmont is his first choice, Gaston County may be an option, or he may have to leave the area."We are working to keep Allen in the area."
The clock is ticking, and Allen needs all the help he can get to find a way to keep the Millican Pictorial History Museum intact and accessible to the public.
Packing, moving and relocating the Museum is very expensive. Your generous contribution will help preserve this important collection of historical photos, rare historical books and publications so future generations can see and understand how their ancestors lived, worked, worshipped and played.
Please support this GO FUND ME campaign. Gofundme manages the funds, and the net funds go directly to Allen to help with moving and set-up expenses. Again thank you for your donations and support.
