Save Molly Polly: Urgent Surgery Needed

Donation protected
First of all, thank you for reading this. This is Molly Polly's story.

I got Molly through a person that I knew. I have known them for years. They lived in the country and while they were out of town, I volunteered to water their garden a couple years back. While watering, I heard some crying sounds from the barn. I went to investigate and I discovered two chihuahua's living in their barn (100+ feet from the house). Molly had been in the cage for approx three years according to her owner. A second chihuahua was also out there. Peanut. A younger male. I think he had only been out there a few months. It was an old nasty wire cage with a 3' tall area of poop that extended outside. There were in the air on wire. There were a couple of tiny nasty beds out there. Most horrid thing ever. I begged them for Molly when they returned. I begged for two months or so before they caved and gave her to me. Her food was covered in ants. It was absolutely pathetic. I ended up taking both chihuahua's. Molly and Peanut.

Due to her living conditions on wire, her knees were completely crippled. I did not even know she was crippled until I got her home and saw her standing on the ground in my back yard. I was completely shocked when she took off running in my yard and I saw her buckled back legs. This was around 2.5 years ago. She did not act like she was in pain. Vet said it was because she had been in pain for so many years that she was used to it. How sad is that?

As she got used to running in the grass and exercising, she got better as her muscles strengthened but now, 2 years later, it is much worse. We need help or I will have to euthanize her to get her out of pain and it breaks my heart to even think about that. Her condition is worsening rapidly. I can't afford surgery so I am BEGGING for her once again. It is about $6000 to $8000 per knee at a specialty vet in Cassville Mo. One knee is worse. She won't even put it down now. I carry her and lift her everywhere. She has a local vet where I live that she goes to but other than pain pills, not much can be done. She needs surgery or she will have no quality of life left.

I saved her once and I want to save her again. She is fixable. And she is a beautiful little soul who looks at me with such sad little eyes. I lift her on the couch, carry her outside and she has her own heating blanket. We tried pain pills and CBD. We use heat and ice on her legs. These things may help pain but they do not stop her knees from going out of joint. I am begging for help for HER. She has been caged her entire life and she deserves a pain free and carefree life. I have her an app in Waggle but their cap is $2000 and I need to raise more than that. I don't know what to do for the rest other than trying gofundme. This is the first time I have sought monetary assistance. The $15000 will finish her first leg, the worst one. What is left over will go toward her second leg. I just pray it's enough..

Prior to me saving her and her prior owner caging her, she also lived in an 18 wheeler, also in a cage. She has lived in a cage nearly her entire life until now. I am 66 and on SS and I am a vet. I live on $1100 a month. I can't afford a payment plan. I barely pay my bills. If I can't get help for her legs, she will lose her life. And I just want her better. PLEASE, someone help us.. I'm out of options. PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE....
