Save the DG, Neubau, and Halle Project!

Launching a DAO for Community Governance of DG, Halle, Workshop and Neubau on Moosdorfstraße near Treptower Park in vibrant east Berlin.

With a vibrant community of over 2000 people, the many iterations of residency projects within a former bathtub factory, known as the Moos (which also houses around 10 other incredible social change organisations) eventually led this year to the Y Berlin. It has been a home for experimentation, radical thinking, healing, art, technology, and systems change for a large part of 2024.

We need to raise 45,000€ by Oct 20th 2024 to keep these communal spaces operating by the community that emerged out of the Y Berlin.

In order to best empower the ongoing of this community, and transferring governance to this community, we are allowing for both donations and purchasing a token to be part of the newly formed DAO. Donating to this GoFundMe helps this community to become stewards of the Dachgeschoss (DG)/Rooftop, the Neubau (the house above the hall), the Halle, and the Wood Workshop.

Usually the total rent for these spaces is 30k€ per month. The landlords are asking for 45k€ before October 25th 2024 for outstanding rent from September, and all of the rent for October. We urgently need help covering this cost.

All donations will be returned if the owners reject our adoption of our space.
