Save Ms. Mittens: Support Her Vet Treatment

SOS- Sick Ms.Mittens in need of medical vet care asap!

Last week I noticed spotting of fresh blood and even a blood clot coming from what appeared to be Mittens backside area. I took her to the vet the next day on April 17th for an urgent exam to see what it come be. They diagnosed her with what they though could be anal glad infection and gave her a shot of antibiotics to see if that would help with her infection. They told me to come back in two weeks to check her progress. Well tonight only just a week later I noticed a bit of poo out side the litter box on the mat and it had a lot of blood and another blood clot along with it. I plan to take her immediately back to the vet tomorrow on the 25th since she is still bleeding like she is its a cause for high concern especially at her age of 10 yrs old. I am really financially struggling right now and I come to my friends and family for any help I can get during this very scary time.

UPDATE: 4/25

Vet says it's not her previous diagnosis of last week being an infected anal gland but much worse. She has lots of inflammation and potential colitis and the vet highly suspects it to be inflammatory bowl disease unfortunately(which means she will have to be on medication and an expensive prescription food the rest of her life). Mittens is being referred to see a specialist vet to get a kitty colonoscopy to find the source of her bleeding and to rule out things and to get a more definite answer and diagnoses. Which runs around $4000 just for the procedure. She wont be able to get the procedure done until I have the funds to pay for it. :(

Last week costed me $200 and today costed me $300 and she wants her back in a week for a follow up to see how well the meds & new food change are working for her.

She's so being put on 2 medications right now, one anti inflammatory and one to help control the bleeding. She was also dewormed for precaution. I am also starting her on her new diet.

Some good news was that her blood count looked with in normal range 'at the moment' which gives us some time to figure out whats really going on.

Mittens is my world and my best friend who has been with me through thick and thin over the past 10 years. I CAN'T lose her and I hate seeing her sick and suffering. I'm very upset and worried about her and trying my best to do what I can to help her. I'm manifesting and praying hard that we can find a definite answer to her illness and praying even harder that we can find a solution and get her healed up somehow and quickly. This will be a long road ahead for the rest of her life.
