When we get tired of war, we console ourselves with the idea that we will return home, but the truth is that our home was bombed by Israeli occupation Fighter aircraft. I am Eman Habboub, a third-year medical student, and in addition to bombing my house, the Israeli occupation destroyed my university in the first week of the war. Now we are displaced in Rafah, where there are more than a million and a half people living in fear of death, hunger and displacement. The war has been going on for more than five months and has stopped our lives and drained our energy. What matters most to us in our family is our right to complete our education. My sister is a dentistry student in her first year of university, and her university was also destroyed, and there is no hope for the rest of my siblings to study in schools. We had beautiful days for me, my mother, father, and my four sibilings. We studied, went for walks, and spent amazing family times at home. But now, for five months, we have been living in difficult conditions. How difficult it is to obtain the basic needs of life, such as: water and food. Currently, good food is not available. If there is little of it available, its price is very expensive, and we cannot afford these high costs. Since the first week of the war, electricity has been completely cut off in Gaza Strip, and we search in the streets for any resource of energy to charge mobile phones in order to find out the news and check on family and friends. Our lives have become very primitive. My mother washes our clothes by hand, Hospitals in the Gaza Strip suffer from a lack of capabilities and resources, and many diseases have spread during the war due to the lack of clean water and healthy food. In the current situation, the basic human rights stipulated by the International Human Rights Organization, which are safety, housing, food, and medicine, are not available. Help me and my family to survive this bad nightmare, and to enjoy our human rights in good conditions like the rest of the world.
