Save My Cat From Dying
Donation protected
Carly is my seven-year-old fur baby. I found her in a bodega in Brooklyn in 2013. She is a Gemini/Cancer cusp and my emotional support animal (ESA) I have severe anxiety and C-PTSD. She helps me through my panic attacks.
Right now - Carly is fighting for her life.
She has been hospitalized because she ate a needle and thread and had to have emergency exploratory surgery. With this surgical procedure comes risks. The thread wrapped around her intestines and she has leaking fluid. As a result - her protein levels are low.
We have already spent over $2000 on her care, and we are asking for some financial help to keep her in the hospital for a few more days to heal and start eating so we (as a community who loves animals) can save her life. I don't want to lose my cat and my ESA.
Here is the cost breakdown from Newtown Veterinary Specialists:
Current Invoice Hospitalization
Day Hospitalization
Night Hospital Monitoring Level 2,
Blood Pressure Monitoring
Daily ICU/INJECTIONS Oxygen Cage
Administration IV FLUID SET UP
Blood Glucose - Via Glucometer Lactate level
Lactate Meter
Oxygen Cage Set Up
Total - 4179.70
Please consider donating anything you can. You can also call Newtown Veterinary Specialists hospital directly to make a donation. The number is [phone redacted].
Thank you for saving a life! .
*Update - Carly has since passed away. She had two exploratory surgeries and was during very well. Unfortunately the procedures uncovered a pre-existing heart condition that we weren’t aware existed! .
We brought her to a cardiologist. She was placed on Lasix for her heart disease and she was responding well to her treatment. However, the stress of her recovery brought on pneumonia. These issues compiled resulted in Carly having a stroke, and she died in my arms at the vet. .
We are now left with a $9K vet bill despite exhausting our Care Credit, applying your donations and using our stimulus checks. Thank you for donating and spreading the word! We appreciate you!! Meow.
