Save my family from Bombardment: A young Boy's fight for Mob
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
My name is Rawan, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart on behalf of my dear friend Asala and her family. Asala's family is trapped in the relentless conflict in Sudan.
Here is Asala's story in her own words:
---
My name is Asala, and I am writing to you from a place of safety, but my heart is still with my family who are enduring unimaginable suffering in Sudan. My 18-year-old brother had his life shattered when he was hit in the spinal cord by shrapnel during a bombardment in our civilian neighborhood. The severe injuries required emergency neurosurgery, which saved his life, but his journey toward recovery is far from over. He still has shrapnel lodged under his lungs, awaiting another critical surgery. Without further medical treatment, he may never walk again and could face a lifetime of paralysis.
When the shrapnel hit, my brother thought these were the last moments of his life. Strangers found him on the street and rushed him to the hospital. By the time our family reached him, they found him saying prayers, convinced he was dying. This traumatic experience has left an indelible mark on him and our entire family.
My brother has always been a bright and spirited young man with a deep love for playing football. The joy he found on the field was a beacon of light amid the darkness of war. He had a long life ahead of him, filled with dreams and aspirations, but now, those dreams are at risk. He desperately needs your help to walk again and reclaim his future.
Our family has sacrificed everything for his survival, spending every last penny we had saved to escape our war-torn region. Now, they find themselves trapped in a dangerous war zone, unable to leave, and struggling to provide him with the urgent care he needs. Bound by deep love and unbreakable ties, they refuse to abandon any member, choosing to face the perils of war together.
Meet My Family:
- Parents: Our mother and father are heartbroken, feeling powerless as they watch their children suffer in a world of chaos.
- Brother: My younger brother, who, like my injured brother, had dreams of starting university this year. Now, those dreams are overshadowed by the fight for our very survival.
- Grandmother: A blind elderly woman, utterly reliant on our family for support and care.
- Elder Aunt: Battling diabetes and severe mental health issues, worsened by the constant terror and uncertainty of war.
- Second Aunt: A devoted mother of three daughters; one struggling with a mental disorder, and two courageous doctors who risk their lives volunteering in a hospital to treat war victims.
- Third Aunt: A loving mother of two young children, both under 18, who also dream of a safer, brighter future.
We have endured the unimaginable, staying in the war zone for over a year, hoping against hope to save enough money to escape together. But now, with our savings depleted by my brother's medical bills, they are back to square one. They face the same dangers and uncertainties, compounded by his urgent need for continued medical care.
I am reaching out to you, kind-hearted souls, to help my family escape this nightmare. Your generous donations will go directly to:
1. Securing Medical Treatment: Ensuring my brother gets the treatment he needs to walk again and live a life free from pain and ensuring he gets to have the surgery of taking the shrapnel out of his chest.
Budget: 8000$
2. Safe Passage: Providing the entire family with the means to escape the war zone and find refuge in a place of safety.
Budget: 15000$
3. Rebuilding Lives: Helping them start anew in a peaceful environment where they can rent a house in a new country and provide themselves food and necessary supplements until the family members find jobs and start depending on themselves once again.
Budget: 7000$
Imagine being a parent, watching your child suffer, knowing that the only thing standing between them and safety is 30k$. Imagine being Beko, an 18-year-old with dreams of a future, now wondering if he will ever walk again. Every donation, no matter how small, brings Beko and his family one step closer to safety and recovery.
Please, open your hearts and help us give my brother and our family a chance at life, hope, and a future free from the shadows of war.

Thank you for your overwhelming generosity and compassion.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Rawan
