Save my farm from CMP
Tourmaline Hill Farm is a small, family-owned goat dairy in Greenwood, Maine. We produce hand-crafted goat cheese and other goat products which are sold in various locations, mainly the Portland Farmer's Market.
In 2016, electric bills doubled and tripled after $4,000 worth of payments that were not all credited through CMP. We have continuously filed complaints with MPUC. Currently, we are no closer now to any answers than we were three years ago. Without any community support, we will be forced to send our animals to slaughter, we will lose our source of food and home. Our doors will be shut permanently.
The funds will be used to pay off the electric bill so we can continue to feed and care for animals as well as produce more products. We are diligently working with attorneys and all legal channels to rectify this situation with CMP. By April 15, CMP will be disconnecting us.
We, and the goats, will be forever indebted and grateful to the community for their support. Much love and many thanks.
