Save my sweet sister, Melissa

This is Melissa in the hospital last week with her family.

I'm not sure how much to write...it's a dire situation in every way. Do people write the whole story?  

It's crushing, Melissa's husband left after 33 years of marriage, she worked a couple of jobs and then her diabetes made it too physically demanding. 

She he was found by her daughter at home in a diabetic coma and admitted to ICU.   It was discovered that she had strokes in two parts of her brain. Her circulation is seriously affected and she needs stents in her legs.   Damage in her foot may require amputation.   She's currently in an extended care facility. 

Since her husband left,  she has no income and lost her health insurance. Her home of 30 years has a payment past due and we need $2,000 by January 25th to save it.  She has pets at home that also require attention.  We just need to buy some time so we can find her new living arrangements. 

She will require 24hour care from here on out. Her Medicade is pending, and so they won't pay for any physical therapy that is needed to help her function and recover from amputation. 

I cant believe this is happening to someone I know,let alone my little sister. It is not my nature to go online and ask for help...but I am throwing away small town pride in an effort save my sister.

Again, this an urgent situation and any amount will help.  She could also use cards,flowers,visitors, anything to let her know people care. All seems hopeless to her right now. 

I just want her to be comfortable and content as we can make her for however long we have her.
