Save Nike: Urgent Care Needed for Beloved Dog

This is Nike, she’s been my little shadow since she was 8 weeks old. We've shared countless adventures together, including moving to Phoenix and now Los Angeles.

In November, Nike's health took a turn. She started vomiting and having uncontrollable bouts of bloody diarrhea. Despite vet visits (X-rays/fecal exam/blood work) and recommended diet changes, the problem persisted.

Now in January, four days ago, her condition dramatically deteriorated again. We’re back to experiencing bloody diarrhea and vomiting blood along with lack of appetite. Nike has never refused food in her life. We went to the vet today to run more tests including a rudimentary ultrasound. The team had some concerns about her pancreas, left kidney and swollen lymph nodes which resulted in urging Nike to see a specialist where they will do a more thorough ultrasound and sample collection which will mean exploratory surgery and stays in the hospital. The status of her other organs were inclusive because Nike has so much pent up gas inside her.

The costs of her treatment are mounting, but I'm determined to do everything I can to save her; however, to be frank, this is not an expense I can afford to explore on my own.
