Friends of Nillabean, I’m afraid we’re on round two. My boy had a little emergency fund put back for his special diet and flea medicine, then he got into the regular kibble and whether it’s related or not is unclear but he’s been acting very sick the last few days and when I was able to get him to the vet, we found out he has FIP. No idea if he kickstarted something dormant or it’s a terrible coincidence.
Today’s visit drained his emergency fund to just over $900, and I’ve no idea how much I’ll have to pay out for medicine as the vet said it was hard to come by and not approved in the US.
I’ve left the goal the same, though of course I hope to not need so much this time around. But every little bit I can put back in for his monthly expenses and unforeseen complications helps. And God forbid I wind up at the emergency vet again, where it costs over $200 to get in the door in the first place.
