Save NonBinary Kiddo from Grandparents

I know the title is a little inflammatory but I am at a loss. I am fighting a now 2 1/2 year long battle against my ex and my parents to keep my little Enby safe with me.

My ex was absent from our lives for 3 years, following his 2nd time being charged with, arrested for and prosecuted for assaulting me. There was a finding of family violence in our original custody order because he was found to have exhibited a pattern of violence against me.

In 2021 I moved out of Texas with my child, in an attempt to create more distance from my conservative, religious family. That summer I put my foot down finally and expressed that if my parents did not enroll in therapy they would not be allowed to have my child alone in their home. There had been a family pattern of racist and misogynistic comments (not just from them but extended family that all live on the same street). I said that all the family could develop a relationship with me and come visit us in our home but I would no longer allow them unfettered access to my child.

2 months later I was served with a custody modification case that alleged I was neglectful, an addict, and a prostitute (among other things) by my previously absent ex partner/baby daddy. My family swore to have no idea it was coming and my mother even offered to testify on my behalf.

The day before the hearing, my parents filed as intervenors. They all offered to drop the case if I moved in with my parents.

I have been fighting to keep my child safe from them ever since. My parents and my ex are working together, and refuse to acknowledge my child's gender identity or use their chosen name. Please help us show that love and truth will win
