Hi everyone. My name's Emily and today I ask you for a minute or two of your time to read about the life of my wonderful cat, Obi. He was also super spirited and sassy.
He is the only boy of our three cats and looked after the others like they were his own siblings.
However recently, Obi was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), a viral and very fatal disease in which 95% of cats die within two weeks to two months. It has made him lethargic, depressed, and unable to eat or drink. When I feel up his back I can feel his spine. He's all skin and bones now. When I think of my beloved cat, my family member, in so much pain, I can't help but search for help.
Within one day he was rushed from our usual vet to a full on veterinary emergency room triage. The cost of even an ultrasound to find what was wrong with him was upwards of $1,500 alone and with the added $1,800 of anesthesia, overnight stay, and STIP check up, almost $3,000. Our family is trying our hardest to find enough money to help us pay for his treatment not only to prolong his life but make the rest of it easy and less painful.
I usually wouldn't go as far as asking someone who hasn't even met me or my family for help, but this cat means so much to us and our other pets, we would all be so broken without him. If you have any money to spare, even a dollar, it would be so appreciated and prolong the life of our happy sassy boy. Even sharing around would help so much.
