Save Oconee Brewing: Support Our Community Hub

Dear Friends of Oconee Brewing,

As many of you know, I’ve been the Event Center manager since the Brewery opened. We've certainly had a lot of good times together. As many of you also know, I'm Taylor's mom and I’m reaching out to you because I need your help in keeping OBC open for our community.

The senior lender has advertised for foreclosure. The principal amount that was advertised in the foreclosure notice is $1,167,316. We have set the GoFundMe goal at $1.2 million based on full transparency of the big picture.

We specifically chose historic downtown Greensboro for a brewery because we believe in the revitalization of our community. Our hope has always been that the brewery could be a springboard for other redevelopment projections. The time and money that we put in for years before our grand opening was a show of our confidence and belief in the City of Greensboro and the communities around us.

For the past seven and a half years, we have had restaurant and retail accounts all over Georgia. We brew Hey Man for the beloved Dukes & Bell radio show. We released Bacon & Kegs with Waffle House. We even sent beer into the stratosphere. We've been creative. We've kept our team small. We've worked hard. We've been committed, we continue to be committed.

Taylor has been contacting and meeting with a long (and continuing to grow) list of people who are interested in becoming OBC investors. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate the loan

through a mixture of a small group of investors, crowd funding, and community fundraisers.

We believe a small portion of the $1.2 million will be raised through GoFundMe and it is a way for all hands to help. Should Oconee Brewing not find a path forward, these funds will be donated to the Greensboro Downtown Development Authority or the Georgia Cities Foundation.

Friends, the goal is BIG! But so was the goal to open a brewery in a small town! Every donation will be received with tremendous gratitude.
