Save Oliver: Help Fund His Life-Saving Surgery
Donation protected
Hi,
First off, thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully help.
I cannot thank you enough, really.
I have never done something like this before, as I am not the best asking for help. But I really am desperate as I need my lil boy around, and I lost my job back in November last year and am still looking for work.
My beloved fur son, Oliver (currently 11 years old) has been with me since he was only 8 weeks old has been diagnosed with Cancer of the liver.
We have been fighting this battle together now for a little over a year and have been able to medically manage with expensive medications that are given each morning an hour before eating.
We recently had run bloodwork and found that he's levels are spiking and the tumor is growing.
It was recently recommended by his specialist that we go see a surgeon at Cornell University Veterinary Specialists.
We did this, and after speaking to Dr. Oliver (hoping that's a sign for good luck) it has been recommended that he have a surgery to save his life.
By getting this operation done I would be able to have my best friend around for another 4-5+ years.
Those of you who know me, my dogs are my everything and the only family I have.
Oliver and I had to put his sister, Zoey (pictured in pictures) down Jan. 2 of this year, the day before my Birthday. And I just finished paying that off. She made it to 19 years. She was the most special baby girl.
Oliver and I rescued Zo 9 years ago. She was a puppy mill rescue who grew up in a chicken coop and had never seen the light of day. When we first brought her home, we had to teach her to walk on a leash, as she would get spooked of her own shadow. When Oliver and I had first rescued Zo we were told we would be lucky to get 3-4 good years out of her. However, we surpassed that and were living in OT for the last 6 years.
Oli and I are still mourning the passing of our sweet baby girl which is why I am asking for help. I cannot loose my other pup yet if it can be prevented.
Again, thanks for taking the time to try and help. Any amount you are able to donate even if only $5 is much appreciated!!!
As everything adds up to $16,800 out of pocket.
Thank you and with love,
Oliver, and H
