Save Omar and his children from death in Gaza
My name is Omar Al-Mashharawi. I am 28 years old from Gaza. I have 4 children. We are an innocent family who woke up to a nightmare that cost us our health, our home, and our future.
Before October 7, our lives were simple. She worked hard to create this family and provide for them. I worked in different places until I got a stable job. I built everything from scratch. Despite the challenges, our lives were full of love, hope and gratitude. All we wanted was a roof over our heads and a united family. However, everything changed after that day. We lost our house and car in Gaza. Now, all we have left is the hope of survival.
My Children Sanaa was very excited to start her new school year. She is a big fan of drawing. Bakir, well, he hadn't even set foot in a school. He is the real spark plug in our house, always full of energy and mischief, and keeping the spirit high in the house.
Our struggle began when we had to leave our home and move in with my father-in-law. We stayed there for a month. After that, with the warning to escape from north to south, we headed to Deir al-Balah. Fortunately, we found a dental clinic that has been with us since November 2023 until now.
During this time, we witnessed death in every possible way. Chaos in the streets, and constant fear of death. There were countless nights my kids couldn't sleep. We are suffering from famine. It feels like we are being killed slowly. The water is polluted, and even finding it is a challenge. If we're lucky enough, we might get a packet of flour from aid. These crises continue to hit us day after day, but for how long? We depleted our savings to get this far, but it wasn't enough. Now, we depend only on aid, and I can see that we will not be able to survive soon.
Today marks the 285th day of the war. I realized that our only way to survive and survive was to evacuate to Egypt. Unfortunately, we do not have the funds for this. The cost of departure is $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child. Since we are two adults and two children, it will cost us $15,000 in total. We need this money to cover evacuation expenses. The funds will be used to pay cross-border travel expenses.
I ask everyone with a compassionate heart to help us survive and start a new life in a place where we can find peace. I haven't lost faith in humanity yet. Your donations mean life to a family that desperately hopes to exist.
Thank you.
