Bulimba Memorial Bowls and Community Club has been an integral part of our community for generations.
Our beloved 'Bowlo' was founded in 1966 as Balmoral Heights Memorial Bowls Club, then in 2005 it was renamed to Bulimba Memorial Bowls and Community Club.
In it's rich 60 year history we have had countless bowling members. Our Bowling greens were built by Pat Beckett a beloved member of the club, still to this day the Beckett family come down and enjoy the facilities at the Bowlo.
In addition to bowls we have a huge community drive which are seen in the following;
- Community Functions which include your birthday parties, your Christmas parties and your local gatherings
- Students from Balmoral State High School coaching them the sport of bowls
- Brisbane First Aid Courses and Sunrise Yoga Courses
- Kindy & Co Intergenerational Program
- MUA Quarterly Meetings
- RSL Branch Monthly Meetings and Annual ANZAC Day Memorial Service
- Bulimba Hash Harriers Running Club
We are also home to the Bulimba District RSL sub-branch
As a not-for-profit organisation all our funds are reinvested into the club facilities to improve them for our community
Sadly, now our community club needs immediate support or the doors of our bowlo may not reopen
Our goal from the community is to raise $50,000 in order to cover our financial burdens so we can reopen and continue trading.
