At Koala Conservation Australia (KCA), our mission is to protect and conserve koalas and their habitats for future generations. Through innovative conservation programs, public education, habitat restoration, and direct action, we address the critical threats facing koalas – habitat loss, disease, and climate change.
But we’re in the middle of an urgent crisis. Without action, koalas could become extinct in the wild within the next 10–20 years. At KCA, we refuse to let that happen. That’s why we’re driving a comprehensive approach that combines rescue, rehabilitation, breeding, and education to give koalas the fighting chance they deserve.
For over 50 years, our Port Macquarie Koala Hospital has been a beacon of hope, caring for thousands of koalas. But we knew more needed to be done. That’s why we’ve launched Guulabaa – Place of Koala, the world’s first Wild Koala Conservation Breeding Program. This game-changing initiative represents a leap forward in conservation, bringing together cutting-edge veterinary care, genetic preservation, habitat restoration, and vital education to inspire the next generation of conservationists.

To secure the health and wellbeing of our koalas, we’re aiming to raise AUD $200,000. These funds will support critical medical equipment, plantation resources, and habitat management – ensuring koalas thrive for generations to come.
