Looks like it’s time for another update. The treatments were successful at getting rid of several tumors in my body except for 1. I have a tumor in my abdomen that still continues to grow at an alarming rate. It is currently pressing against my spinal cord and is steadily changing in appearance. I meet with my oncologist tomorrow morning to discuss the next steps and to finally schedule the surgery. My bloodwork improved enough that I can attempt to have all or some of it removed. After the surgery we will discuss if I will be doing chemo and more treatments. I’m still doing every effort I can to try and get help with the out of pocket costs for the medical expenses. This surgery is going to be very difficult. I may have to have lymph nodes removed, several surrounding areas, organ resection and blood transfusions.
Right now I’m still taking things one day at a time. My home health services worker was here on Monday and I was approved to be released into home care as that is my wishes.
Honestly things are getting really really hard right now. All I can do is hope and pray.

After a horrible run of luck, a friend was able to sell me their extra vehicle so I will be back on the road again. My previously canceled treatments, stem cell, imaging, and bloodwork are rescheduled to be resumed this Thursday. As you know, the stem cell treatments are not covered by insurance at this time. I am still going forward with efforts in fundraising in order to try and to get the remaining funds I need to help pay for them.
I was already able to pay for one of the treatments out-of-pocket using my own money. I have not been able to come up with anything else that I own of value to help pay for the remaining balance on the treatment that I could not pay for. This also includes transportation needs for me to travel to three different states in order to get the treatments that I need. The reason why I have to travel to three different states around 360 miles give or take is due to having a very rare autoimmune disease. This has left me with very few specialists that are trained for this specialty.
Being this is my 3rd time I’ve had to have life saving medical procedures this has left me with almost nothing except basic necessities. If I don’t raise the funds to help with out of pocket expenses then I risk losing basic living necessities or life saving surgery. I’m praying I don’t have to make that choice again.
My kiddo and I have been through so much. I would be crazy not to try and ask for help. As a mom I’m willing to do anything I can to keep the small home we finally got. It has been everything to us living here.
I am grateful and survive any help you can give. If I didn’t have a good fighting chance I wouldn’t have bothered, but I still have room to fight so that’s what I’m doing. All I’m asking is for a chance. Thank you. Love y’all so much ❤️

I’m currently taking extremely high doses of steroids to suppress my immune system that’s causing these flare ups. I did have a little bit better of a day finally so I hope that means I am starting to turn the corner on the flare ups. My recent bloodwork from my visit on Monday didn’t show any signs of improvement yet. I’m still taking things one day at a time.
After my flare up flattens out and my health improves I will then start the next part of the journey which is dealing with the metastasis. This was currently put on hold due to my flare up making me deemed unable for surgery / too high of a risk.
will still need another stem cell treatment that is not covered by insurance at this time.
My hair has started falling out and I’m dealing with edema, inflammation and swelling of my joints. In addition I am still fighting partial organ failure and damage from the treatments necessary to keep fighting.
I’m so grateful for everyone who is taking this journey with me. Your prayers and donations are giving us hope that we’ll get through this somehow.
never giving up, love y’all ❤️

For all those following the Buggy saga, here’s a new update. I had a few really rough days. Sometimes that happens after the infusions. Luckily I had my parents to help me get through it. I took over their couch and guest room! They must have thought they had a teenager again lol. I officially start my taper off of high dose steroids tomorrow. I’m down to 16 medications now and the patches are slowly clearing up.
Next step is still working on getting my system strong enough for my biopsies, lymphoma and leukemia tests, another stem cell treatment and the tumor removal surgery. Say that 5x fast.
We’re getting ready to start up the fundraiser again and release links to some of the items up for sale.
Thank you so much for all of your support and donations. I really wouldn’t have made it this time without your help. Love y’all ❤️

*update 1/24/25*

I was approved for Medicaid as a secondary insurance to my Medicare Advantage plan. Good news is they can back date 3 months. The bad news is this still leaves me with $5245 I have to raise funds for. My stem cell injections are still not covered by insurance at this time. The autoimmune disease I have is very rare and treatments are still not covered by insurance at this time. I can’t thank y’all enough for your kindness and support. I’m eternally grateful for all of you. Love y’all ❤️

My blood work on Monday came back pretty bad. I am having partial organ shut down and have started going into full blown battle mode again. I’m going to give it hell one last time. Four decades is a long time to have been fighting this crap. I’ve literally spent my entire life savings surviving for my daughter. I’m going to have to start some fundraisers here pretty soon. I’ve applied for assistance programs and stuff but I most likely won’t qualify due to receiving SSA and Medicare. I have written letters to my doctors asking if any portion could be donated to charity. There’s a lot of out of pocket expenses, copays, and deductibles I’m facing right now. It would kill me to once again lose my house and have to start all over again, again. Lanie and I are finally safe, happy and have a garden in our small little house. It’s not much to most but it’s all that we ever wanted and means everything to us. If you have any ideas on fundraisers or anything like that please let me know. I’m willing to try anything.
One of my family members has already donated some mint error coins and they have gone up for sale on E-Bay. If you are interested in the links please let me know.
I will also be selling some of my homemade crafts as well. This includes lotions, soaps, aromatherapy oils and wax melts.
I also will be selling bracelet sets. Just send me color choices and wrist size if you wish to order ahead of time, otherwise I’ll post the links as soon as they become available. I have a friend that will be collecting all of the proceeds and helping to pay my creditors directly for me. Thanks y’all for the love and support ❤️
