Save our SEPECAT Jaguar GR.3 XZ106

This airframe first took flight on the 23rd of February 1976, being allocated to II(AC) Squadron in Laarbruch, Germany. Later, in 1990, the plane had part in 'Operation Granby', in the first Gulf War where it undertook 35 missions. Upon its return it was upgraded to a GR.3A standard with 41 Squadron. The airframe then went onto fly in 'Operation Deliberate Force', later retiring in 2005. The RAF Manston History Museum later went onto acquire this airframe on the 21st November 2008.

The museum now carries the overall aim of helping the Jaguar to reach a level of stability whereby the public can access the cockpit. Anti-deterioration maintenance alongside corrosion control will need to be undertook in order to reach this standard. This therefore will allow us to share our history to the community to individuals of all generations.
