Save Our West End

From the moment it first opened its doors in 1977, Joe’s has always been the preferred haunt of London's vibrant theatre scene.
It quickly became known as the ‘West End’s Canteen’ because actors, producers and directors from the West End’s latest and greatest productions would often be seen there celebrating raving reviews or commiserating a bad opening night.
Unfortunately, this long lasting partnership and shared history with TheatreLand is in danger.
With the theatre industry in disarray, unsustainable social distancing measures, and sky-high overheads, we've decided it's time to take a different path to save our beloved Joe Allen & West End.
We've launched what we hope will become a series of "old school" Saturday night virtual variety shows titled "An Evening At Joe Allen".
Our partners on this adventure is the charity Acting for Others which supports through 14 charities theatre workers in times of emotional and financial need.
Our first 2 shows on July 4th and Sept 5th were both resounding success and raised over £13,000.
The third and final Act will go live on November 26th at 8pm via Facebook and YouTube , and is shaping up to be bigger and bolder than Act 1 & 2!
We know that these unprecedented times are incredibly challenging on everyone, but we hope that together, we can make a real difference and help all the actors and theatre workers who have been left with no support and no income.
Thank you in advance for your generous support!
