Save Pelican Bay

A developer has started destroying the natural habitat and hurricane protection of Pelican Bay of SWFL. Pelican Bay and its barrier islands and mangroves are home to dolphins, bald eagles, nurseries for fish, kayak trails, boating, and our last resort, natural protection from hurricanes. Pelican Bay is located in Florida's Lee County and in the Fort Myers/Fort Myers Beach area. Unfortunately, the ongoing construction and plans are devastating our resources and communities. Please help us fight to save our environment for future generations and not let one developer, with the support of some agencies, devastates our wetlands impacting future generations of wildlife and our children.

 

We have hired an attorney to file a complaint about the destruction of wetlands, mangroves, and resultant water quality issues and petitioned for a hearing on the even more dramatic plans for phase 2. We ask for your donation and support as we battle the big money of developers and legal agencies allowing this environmental disaster.
