Save Pier 69 Market

Our names are Arianna and Andrea and we've been working as baristas at Pier 69 since the summer of 2022. After being regular customers since its opening in 2017, being able to work in a place where we spent our high school years has been an honor and a privilege. Even now, Pier 69 has served as a second home to not only us but to the Bay Ridge community. Being alumni of Xaverian High School, which is only three blocks away, we know how much current students relied on our business after hours. It’s a place for them to unwind after a long day of studying, grab a bite to eat after school activities, and even a place to go when they need a hot cocoa to put a smile on their face.

Located right off the 69th Street pier, we are greeted by all kinds of customers. We have regulars who come in every day to chat and get a bite to eat, passers-by from the ferry who grab quick snacks, and even tourists from around the world who would stop in to grab a La Colombe coffee.

Sadly, on April 9, 20 minutes after we closed for the day, a fire broke out in the cafe. Thankfully, no one was hurt, however, our kitchen and storage room are severely destroyed. We're unsure as to how long rebuilding will take or how much it will cost, however, we want to help support our Pier 69 family in any way we can. We encourage anyone to donate or share this link.
