Hi! I’m Lauren and I live in Asheville, NC with my two kiddos and lots of other special folks at Possum. What is Possum??

Possum Splendor is a community house that currently houses 12 individuals. At the height of occupancy, there have been 14 people living here! The home itself is over 100 years old and has operated as a boarding/community house for about the last 40 years.

Our home sustained roof damage in Hurricane Helene and is leaking badly (hence the roof tarps). We are fundraising to assist with the cost of roof replacement as the homeowner’s insurance and FEMA funds will not cover the entirety of the roof.

There are many renovations that need to happen to keep the home in good enough condition that we can continue this project for hopefully decades to come. Any funds raised here will be going to the house.
