Help Save Queer Flower Shop Heavy Petal

Instead of giving your money to corporations trying to monetize off the 2SLGBTQA+ community, why not save a queer company directly!
Heavy Petal is owned and operated by Ron Rudnicki, a nonbinary, queer, traumatized, disabled florist (cptsd, ocd, fibromyalgia).
They started plans for their shop Heavy Petal, in November of 2019, but unfortunately did not register their business license or account until March 9, 2020 (making them ineligible for many COVID-19 related support for small businesses).
With a lot of startup company experience, Ron was confident that they could effectively run a shop while also focusing on their passion for floristry, but unfortunately the pandemic has contradicted every plan put forward.
The shop ran successfully with a healthy profit throughout August, September, October, but once the never ending stay at home orders took place in Toronto, through November-June incoming sales revenue faced a 65% loss. Dealing with perishables and not having consistency in sales also lead to inevitable waste in product, therein more losses.
During all of this Ron was also attending trauma therapy at CAMH under their Trauma Stream program, trying to heal from multiple sexual violences, disorganized attachment style, and abuse starting from a very early age. In a constant state of recovery/re-triggering, Ron has been unable to actualize any of the plans and ideas they have for the space.
Funds would go to repaying debts incurred, insuring medical treatments remain covered, employment of a PSW to help with day to day organization, employment of a shop manager to help stay on track and realize goals, and ongoing rent and expansion.
