Save Romeo's Precious Life

Meet Romeo (formerly Ash).

Romeo is an affectionate Dubai stray whose precious life we want to save. Our boy isn’t so young, in fact, we lovingly tease him with “old man” sometimes — but our old man's little body is dealing with some health issues that only you can help him heal from so he can live a life surrounded by love.

Romeo was diagnosed with FeLV; Feline Leukemia Virus, an incurable disease that will eventually take his life:

“There is no treatment to eliminate the virus from the body. Most FeLV-infected cats will eventually die or require humane euthanasia due to diseases related to their infection.”

He also faces significant challenges other than his FeLV+ status. He has to undergo surgery to remove his spleen after it was discovered he has lymphoma. He also has a large wound that requires surgery as well as ongoing treatment and hospitalization. Lastly, he needs medication for his liver, which has been affected by everything he has gone through.

We are raising funds for Romeo’s surgery and long-term care, determined to give him the best possible quality of life. His bill is estimated to be around 10,000 AED (2,000 GBP) due to the large list of treatments and two surgeries required. Every donation helps us help him.

Despite his struggles, Romeo still has so much love to give and a lot of life left to experience the joys of a real home. He’s been confined to a cage for a long time, patiently waiting for his chance at happiness. He is incredibly affectionate. He craves love and cuddles, always seeking warmth and comfort.

His eyes are filled with light and hope, telling us he’s not ready to give up—and neither are we. Romeo wants to fight for his life, and we have decided to fight alongside him.
