Save Ron "Mole Man" Heist's Home
Spende geschützt
For nearly his entire life, Ron, a 66-year-old autistic man under the care of his parents, has been building an extraordinary 50-room maze-like structure in his backyard. With his nonagenarian mother in increasingly fragile condition, the fate of Ron’s world is uncertain.
Ron's mother Mary will be leaving his home any day and Ron's family needs support to allow him to stay in the home. His disability payments are not enough to cover the bills and taxes. Ron also needs at minimum a part time caretaker that can help him with day to day responsibilities (bills, meals, etc) that he can't handle on his own.
In order to keep Ron in his home, he will need approximately $40,000 per year for 20 years ($800,000). There are currently no government programs that would support someone like Ron staying in his home. The only option the government currently provides Ron is relocation to an assisted living facility.
A move to a facility for Ron would be incredibly difficult. His whole world is the home he's build and taking it away would change him forever.
Without outside help his family will have no choice but to relocate him. Please help this wonderful, unique man stay in the incredible home he's built.
