Save Sage from Rehome
Donation protected
Hey everyone, I did a lot of debating before making this. Only because I know so many of us are struggling in our day-to-day, but thanks to my original post regarding Sage a lot of you motivated me to make this gofundme and do everything I can to keep my baby of 8 years with me, where he belongs.
Our Story -
I adopted Sage from upstate NY ASPCA when he was 8 weeks old, he has been with me through just about everything you could imagine. About a year ago, a friend moved Sage & I in. She treated him as her own, he adores her. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago - she abruptly decided I need to rehome him, which broke my heart and put me in a bind because it was so out of the blue, with no room for compromise.
I’m a single woman in my 20’s working two jobs & STILL considered low income. I have searched for another place to live before even considering posting him for rehome, and I haven’t given up on finding another place for us. This was my absolute last resort. I have until the 26th of July. It has been extremely stressful thus far. I’ve even researched how to live in my car with him. I’m doing all I possibly can. A single room rents out for $850-900 in my area, and 9/10 of the properties do not allow dogs. Therefore I’ve decided to register Sage as a ESA to make finding a place for us a little easier.
Any & all funds will go directly towards a deposit for a place for us to live. Landlords are charging a minimum of 1100 + deposit for a 1b apartment & I’ve been working my butt off to make it happen.
I don’t expect any handouts, but those of you who offered to donate have no idea how incredible you are. Your kindness goes so much further than you realize. To anyone who’s shown support, whether it be a donation or a compassionate message - THANK YOU. I appreciate you so very much & you have no idea what this means to us.
