Save Saints Life!

Tax deductible
Last night at 11 pm dear Saint suffered a stomach flip (GDV) he absolutely needs life saving surgery to survive TODAY. We have no time to wait or pray we must act now!

Saint was saved in December 2021 after being bred and raised by convicted animal abuser Ted Mcardle. I was able to save his three other breeding Dane females from the backyard shed he kept them in their whole lives back in 2019. I kept trying to save Saint the whole time. Finally just before Christmas last year I went back to that awful place and purchased him from His capture so under socialized he was terrified of us on sight. He did not remember us at all and was a shut down mess.

Over the last 10 months I have completely rehabilitated him to a dog so friendly and trustworthy he was set to have his first therapy outting on Thursday.

But instead he is at risk of losing his life to a treatable condition. I knew what was happening as soon as I saw his budda belly and foamy mouth. Bloat.

I rushed him to metro where the wonderful compassionate staff raced to get me answers. Being seen in less then an hour from onset of symptoms may have made the difference but we truly don’t know yet. The wonderful dr assigned to me was able to get a tube into the stomach allowing the trapped and expanding gasses to escape and getting him much more comfortable. Repeat x-rays continue to show his stomach twisted and that surgery would ultimately be necessary. A surgery being estimated at three different hospitals at $5000 to $8000.

As you have all seen time and time again I will pull out the checkbook without question but after the recents saves and losses we are not in a position to jump in with both feet again yet. I applied for care credit as I do consider Saint my dog and was denied. I have worked without a paycheck since 2016 saving the unwanted vulnerable dogs of our communities.

This dr continued to fight and advocate for me and Saint… she approached the hospital about grant funding to save him, and me, and got finding to help us with most of our approx $2500 bill so far. And she found a local colleague able to offer the surgery at a fraction of the cost quoted, only $2000.

We have paid out thousands on medical necessity in the last couple weeks. After all the times I have helped a vulnerable pet in need I find myself truly the one needing help for the first time in a long time.

We want to move him to the next stage and start surgery but we need to know the funds are coming.

PLEASE PLEASE help save this sweet precious boy he could survive this with the talent of these dr’s, a little bit of luck, and your help!
