Save Sammy Skoda for Shibden Apex Race Team

Shibden Apex Junior Women’s Race Team need your help. Our Team Car, Sammy the Skoda, broke down in Spain after supporting our girls at the Bizkaikoloreak Nations Cup race.
Having a team vehicle is essential for success in a race, providing mechanical support and keeping the Team manger and most importantly, mechanic and spare bikes near to the riders. Repatriation of the car and repairs has left us with a bill of £6000. Whilst we are hugely grateful for the support of our sponsors who provide the teams clothing and support our day to day racing costs, this unfortunately doesn’t provide us with enough money to pay for these repairs.
Shibden Apex RT are currently ranked the number one Junior Women’s team in the world. Despite this the girls are reliant on the support of parents and family to help get them to races and fund their cycling career development. We desperately need to get Sammy back on the road as soon as possible with three big races in Europe coming up within the next month. We have more than emptied the Shibden RT ibank account to fund this and without some immediate financial support there is a real possibility that the team will not be able to attend these races and will struggle to continue to race at such a high level next season.
We are looking for contributions of any amount to help us in this rather desperate situation.
