Help Us Keep the Wonder of Science Alive!

Science & Nature Co™ is not just a store; it’s a beacon of wonder and inspiration in our community. For over two decades, we have had the privilege of turning this small shop into a hub of curiosity and discovery. Through events like the annual Science Rendezvous fair, which unites educators, youth, and families to celebrate the marvels of science, and free Let's Talk Science workshops that break down barriers to STEM education, we have been proud to make a meaningful impact.
A Place of Memories and Legacy
Our store is a place where memories are made and traditions are continued. Former staff members who first visited with their grandparents now return with their own children, carrying forward a legacy of learning and exploration. Inspired by our philosophy of helping others, many of these former customers have gone on to inspire others to pursue careers in science, astronomy, and volunteerism, driven by the values instilled during their time with us.
Our Urgent Needs
However, the future of this beloved store is at risk. Tsawwassen Mills has decided not to extend our lease, forcing us to move and leaving us in a dire predicament. We urgently need to raise $50,000 for relocation and storage—a sum that has become even more challenging to secure after enduring substantial losses during and post-COVID. Achieving this goal would require generating approximately $120,000 in sales after accounting for our costs of goods sold (COGS).
Since the mall closed our store at the beginning of this month, we have had no revenue while facing mounting expenses. This has compounded our financial challenges.
Without the ability to remain, permanent closure is imminent. To ensure that we can continue inspiring young minds to explore and be curious about science, your support is urgently needed. We are seeking funding to cover moving costs and secure appropriate storage for essential learning materials until we find a new retail space. Your contribution will directly impact the future of countless aspiring young scientists and help preserve the spirit of discovery.
