Save Slumber Falls

Dear Friends,

Today, we learned that the South Central Conference has voted to sell Slumber Falls Camp, ending a ministry that has touched so many of us. Friends of Slumber Falls was formed to carry on that ministry and envision a new future. While we have a generous benefactor and a committed new board, the Conference's intention to list it on the open market is adding uncertainty to what we had hoped would be a straightforward and amicable transfer. We have a steep hill to climb in order to keep Slumber Falls Camp as an important ministry in our region. And that's where you come in. Friends of Slumber Falls is a nonprofit organization registered in Texas at the end of 2022 with a 501c3 tax-exempt status pending with the IRS. We had hoped to launch a formal fundraising campaign once our tax-exempt status was granted, but time is of the essence. Seed money to help us make a competitive bid and have start-up funds mean we need to ask for your support now.
