Friends and followers of Spinning Sands, she needs our help!

Despite her heroic and steadfast efforts at recovering her health, Spinning Sands has run out of time and needs your financial support in order to keep her home.

As many of you know, Karen Chalmers, the Seal Rock Oregon Sand Artist, known as Spinning Sands, has a rare genetic disease with severe and persistent PTSD, that left her wheel-chair bound 6 years ago with a very dire outcome.

Throughout all her struggles, Karen has maintained a resilient and positive attitude and brings JOY into 1,000’s of peoples’ lives with her artistry. A dancer at heart. Karen has been spinning in circles for years. Less than two years ago she began raking. For those that have since followed Spinning Sands' progress, we have watched her bloom into an extraordinary artist with a very unique gift for raking in the sand. Her designs flow effortlessly from her heart, all of Spinnings Sands designs are raked free-handed without assistance other than her rake and divine inspiration!

All of Karen’s efforts over these past years have gone towards staying alive and her raking has moved her health recovery forward with great strides.

Spinning Sands' rakings have since brought boundless joy and happiness into our lives. And, NOW she needs our help! If we all contribute, even a little, we could gift her another year or two in her home while she continues to concentrate on recovering her health.
