Save SSAL: Help Levi and Friends Thrive

Tax deductible
Hello, my name is Kristine. I'm the foster mom to Levi, a resident of the Southern Souls Animal League, SSAL, rescue in Eufaula Alabama.
As with most animal rescues, they are full of people's unwanted dogs and cats, puppies and kittens. And, despite them telling people they are full, people leave their animals tied to the tree outside and make the care of their animal someone else's problem.
SSAL is the only no kill facility in Eufaula Alabama. Recently, they announced that unless they raise funds for vet care, food and other shelter needs, they will have to close their doors. What will happen to their residents? I shed tears thinking about it.
As I said, I'm a foster Mom to Levi. Levi is a clown and just wants to be loved. When he got him, he'd never really experienced being petted and kissed. He was afraid to come inside. He was afraid we were going to hit him. He just wanted to hide in our hall bathroom because it was dark and safe. Now, he loves being petted. He hangs out with us and our 2 dogs. He loves to play with the dogs. He loves to get bones and despite the life he's had, he's never been aggressive.
We need places like SSAL because pups like Levi deserve a loving chance at life.
