My name is Stormi the Folf, a furry Youtuber from Mississippi, USA.
I'm extremely reluctant to ask for help...but I have been dealing with an ongoing life threatening problem that I need to resolve as soon as possible.
As you may know, medical care in the states is cripplingly expensive for most people, including myself. That also includes dental care. Without getting into too much detail, I couldn’t take care of myself as a kid and I couldn't afford regular medical and dental check ups. This, along with poor genetics more or less has destroyed 90% of my teeth entirely.
I need to have surgery to have my teeth removed and replaced with dental implants or an alternative. I also have 2+ teeth that have impacted my sinus cavities which must be removed by an oral surgeon.
There's a risk of an infection that could spread to other parts of my body, including my heart, which could cut my chances of attending future events, even possibly lead to my death if the infection gets into my bloodstream.
At the moment, I can only consume very soft foods or liquid foods which is still very painful at times. Sometimes I just don't want to eat at all because of the pain that follows. My diet has progressively gotten worse. With these funds I can have the surgery, eat the foods that I used to like and try new foods as well, without being in so much pain.
This is also my biggest insecurity about myself. It's something I've been made fun of for since my childhood.
I experience terrible toothaches on a daily basis, some of which last for several hours or even days at a time that leave me basically bed ridden or unable to work. The most recent ER visit has made me aware that this has to be done as soon as possible.
I've been quoted anywhere from $11,000-$15,000 for everything.
Basically, I could sell everything I own and still not be able to afford such an operation. Being told this while staying in pain nearly every day has made me feel hopeless. I am trying to work hard every day but needless to say, I don't have this kind of money laying around.
I'm normally very closed about this and extremely reluctant to ask for help, but for this one time, I'm pushing my insecurities aside and asking for your help. Donations and shares are both very much appreciated.
