Save Suttons Beach Pavilion from Being Demolished

Moreton Bay Regional Council (the landlord of Suttons Beach Pavilion) have announced plans to demolish the Suttons Beach Pavilion in Redcliffe instead of repairing and restoring this iconic structure.

 

Sadly, the wonderful business operating there, is being forced to close their doors on the 28th February 2022.

 

This is absolutely devastating for the community as this particular location and the Pavillon have been an Iconic part of Redcliffe since the 1930's and is so much a part of our rich history as a seaside town.

The Suttons Beach Pavilion Preservation Group is fighting hard for the community to win this battle against demolition but we need to run the long yards with this fight if we are going to win! And that requires your help.

 

We need to raise funds to keep our campaign strong and to fight any action by Moreton Bay Regional Council to demolish the building.

 

These much-needed funds will help us purchase equipment, signs, create as much brand awareness as we can, obtain legal advice, mount legal campaigns, court costs, commission building reports, insurances, tests and quotes, and advertising. In short, any expenses required to save the structure needs to be paid for.

 

We need your help! You can help us by donating as much as you can afford - large or small. It is all going to help make sure we can get the necessities we need to win!

 

Don't let them take the building away that's brought so many of us amazing memories and special events. This is Redcliffe’s History; we don’t want to lose another Iconic building in our community!

Any surplus funds that are left after the campaign, will be donated to the Redcliffe Surf Life Saving Club on Suttons Beach.

 

*These funds will not be given to the Council to Rebuild or Restore - we firmly believe the council should be paying for this. This is simply to keep up with the campaign costs of winning this battle to save our 85 year old building.

** Please note the funds will initially be transferred into my personal account and from there I will immediately transfer into the group's bank account in the name of Suttons Beach Pavilion Preservation Group. We have a Treasurer who will ensure that all funds are correctly accounted for.
