Save Tawny’s Kids

To anyone who comes across this GoFunMe, like a message in a bottle, my name is Tawny. 

I am a Family Nurse Practitioner of over 10 years but after creating my soulmates, I chose the most important role I could have in life: mama to my kids Ayla and Asher. Ayla is 5 1/2 and Asher is 4 1/2. 

We need your help. 

I tried to get a divorce over 3 years ago and have been stuck in the family court system ever since. It is a wormhole and not many make it out alive. Yes, superior courts are falsely advertising…. This is no place for children….Dealing with family court over the last 3 1/2 years has been nothing short of torture. There has been a complete lack of consistency, routine, due process, efficiency, and other requisite constitutional human life protections for me and my children.

 

Like over 68% of mothers in my situation, family court has wrongfully taken my children without legal or factual cause. 

I haven’t seen or spoken to my precious children in over 5 months. The grief of this is disabling - it feels like trying to breathe on Mars without an oxygen tank.  

Donations will greatly affect three innocent lives…Three lives who were once heavily involved in giving and caring for the Orange County community.  We are now struggling to survive. 

 Astronomical legal fees have accrued since the outset of my divorce case, filed in February 2021 (over 300k$ and counting). The family court system has forced me into poverty and has lashed mine and my children’s brains with trauma after trauma. We have lost our house, as well as almost every material item I have ever owned. My children’s most prized possessions still remain near the Canadian border, I hope to one day have enough funds to have their items shipped back to Orange County. Some of my kids most prized items include: Asher’s jewelry collection and jewelry box; Ayla and Asher’s rock collection, art projects, blankets, favorite toys and stuffies.  

Donated funds will help me pay for mine and my children’s health insurance premiums (1541$/mo, covers therapy and specialists for my son’s chronic health problems), food, gas, and clothes. Additional funds will help me contribute to rent. 

We have lost almost everything…but financial donations are not the only way to help us. 

In fact, we always accept emotional support, kindness, hugs, second-hand toys (for my kids), shelter, and even an active stance to reform “family” court. 

Your donations will help me survive so I can continue to fight for my most basic right to the care and custody of my children. 

I am self-represented in 2 different courts (family court and appeared court). I’m in and out of court numerous times a month. Other ways to help would include:  Referrals to anyone with legal knowledge.

Please, anything to help re-unite me with my children.  It is inhumane how county courts can use “discretionary power” to separate young children from their mothers…especially a mother whom they are so securely bonded to.
