Save the 303 for our Veterans!

We are still open for business, however, The leadership at the Fridley American Legion is confronted with the challenging decision to potentially close our doors. This closure would entail more than merely shutting down a bar; it represents the loss of a crucial support system for our Veterans, their children, families, and the entire community. We must not let this happen! Our Veterans are the foundation of the American Legion. Without Fridley Post 303, they and their families would forfeit the numerous benefits we offer, such as Veteran events, dinners, luncheons, children's parties, steak and fish fries, and various initiatives designed to provide financial assistance to our Veterans and the programs available to them.

Having our own building enables us to work on many projects that benefit our Veterans and Service Members, including making poppies to remind the public of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, sewing neck pillows for donation to the Minneapolis Veterans Home and Hospital, and assembling ditty bags filled with hygiene items for homeless Veterans and youth. We also host popular Halloween and Christmas parties for the children in our community. The Fridley Auxiliary organizes a monthly steak and fish fry fundraiser and weekly meat spins, while our Legion Riders conduct a twice-monthly bacon spins. Additionally, the Sons of the American Legion (SAL) hold pancake breakfasts twice a year, accompanied by an Auxiliary bake sale, and Legion volunteers organize an omelet breakfast every other month.

This establishment is more than just a bar; it is a dedicated haven for Veterans, filled with supportive individuals and events tailored to assist them.
