Save the Ball- Soccer for Africa

In honor of Negus Kloehn we have set this campaign up to complete a project that was very close to his heart.  We are calling it Save the Ball- Soccer for Africa find our website https://www.savetheballsoccerforafrica.com/ . Negus wanted to share with kids his absolute love for the sport. The proceeds collected will enable us to send soccer balls and nets as far and wide in Africa as possible. Below are Negus's words in explaining his goals and intentions. 

" I want to become famous and play soccer to send soccer nets to Africa so they can put the nets on the goals and play more soccer- so if they shoot on the goal the ball won’t go through the goal, and they don’t have to chase after the ball." - Negus Kloehn

Save the Ball, Soccer for Africa is proud to announce our first award recipients. Kids for Africa Sports Academy based in Uganda will receive the gift of soccer nets and balls.

Kids for Africa Sports Academy transforms lives of Uganda’s children through the power of sport. They have grown from 9 children to over 500, both girls and boys.

"The nature of our work depends on working with less privileged children coming from vulnerable family backgrounds. Our trainings are free to all. We are excited to receive nets and balls ... children will have a chance to access enough soccer balls during their training and gain the ability to taste the goal for their first time."

The 1st Annual Negus Kloehn 3v3 Memorial Soccer Tournament will be held Saturday, July 17, and Sunday, July 18, 2021, in Vail, CO.

Proceeds will benefit this non-profit foundation dedicated to honor Negus Kloehn’s vision/mission to donate nets and balls to impoverished areas of Africa. Negus passed away April 2020 due to epilepsy complications. Ages U8 to adult will be able to compete at this incredible event. The cost to register is $350. Use discount code VVSC2021 to save $50.
